There is a buzz on the street regarding TODs or "Transit Oriented Developments" as they are called.

Here's the concept in a nutshell. Thousands of people travel through our rail and public transit systems on a daily basis. Many of the terminals and rail stops are desolate "islands" from a commercial stanpoint. Developers involved in TOD projects plan to seize the opportunity to become a convenient way point for commuters.
